Therapy (sometimes called “psychotherapy” or “counseling”) is a professional relationship between you and your therapist, devoted to your personal growth and well-being. Relieving your emotional pain, reducing your anxiety or depression symptoms, improving your relationships, or changing your behavior or lifestyle may be parts of that personal work that takes place. Clients are most likely to improve if they trust their therapist, feel understood by their therapist and experience a genuine concern and support from their therapist. We want every person who comes to True North to feel understood, we want them to feel hope, and we want them to know that they can find more direction and meaningfulness in their lives.
